Additional informations: | Specialization description: The aim of the doctoral study program Regional and Social Development is through advanced education areas of relevant knowledge in economics (70%) and in sociology (30%) and contemporary methods scientific research in these fields to prepare high-quality experts in the field of sustainable regional development and rural development, including the social aspects of such development. The aim is to provide for these students education within an interdisciplinary approach that will lead them to the art of performing independently and highly professional social science research based on the latest theoretical knowledge in the field of economics and more broadly I from social sciences (sociology) and on this basis to formulate the necessary practical and political recommendations, especially from perspective of socio-economic and socio-cultural dimensions of development activities in local, national and global context. Graduate profile: The graduate can apply the latest theoretical ones, especially in the economic but also in the social pillar of sustainability knowledge from the field of economics (70%) and partly also sociology (30%) framed interdisciplinary the essence of sustainable regional and rural development.The graduate has experience with creative activities in an international environment and masters the necessary language and skills with this professional language in the academic and application sphere. The graduate is competent to formulate practical recommendations and measures based on and supported by empirical data from research. Graduates find employment in the academic and research spheres, where they lead both pedagogical activities and own research activity. Another area of application is state and public administration bodies, where they work as experts able to carry out independent research providing the data necessary to shape practical measures and to preparation of various documents (strategies, plans) that are needed in terms of regional and rural development. Thus, they can also work in NGOs and local action groups involved in community leadership local development and thus act in the field of social and territorial development |
