The Prague University of Economics and Business (Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze, VŠE) is a public university founded in 1953. It is a leading Czech university in fields of management and economics. About 14 thousand students are enrolled at VŠE and it employs more than 600 qualified academics. Graduates occupy positions in the sectors of banking, accounting and auditing, sales, marketing, business and trade, public administration, information technologies, etc. Studies at VŠE meet the requirements of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).

Good At: Internationalization: VŠE has more than 250 partner universities and business schools worldwide; it has repeatedly succeeded in the Eduniversal ranking and the Financial Times European Business Schools ranking. Career Opportunities: VŠE has about 25 corporate partners; graduates receive best job opportunities and are highly demanded on the labour market. EQUIS accreditation ranks the Faculty of Business Administration among 1% best business schools in the world. Two master’s degree programs at the Faculty of International Relations were certified with EFMD Accredited. One master´s program taught at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics received the accreditation EMOS by the ESSC. The Faculty of Finance and Accounting received the accreditation from the professional body ACCA.

For international students: VŠE offers 12 international degree programmes taught in English (4 bachelor´s and 8 master´s), as well as MBA programmes in English and French. All 6 faculties also offer PhD programmes in English. International students are provided with services of the International Studies Centre and the Buddy System, library, dormitory accommodation, free Wi-Fi Internet access, and various sport facilities. VŠE supports many student activities, such as a choir, a chamber orchestra, a folklore group, a film club, a theatre group, and student journals, etc.
International cooperation: VŠE offers dozens of courses taught in English (and French, German, Spanish or Russian) to exchange students, as well as freemovers (CESP programme). It is a member of international networks, e.g. CEMS, PIM or PRME Initiative. In August, 2018, the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB accepted the Initial Self Evaluation Report, thus allowing VŠE to enter the core part of accreditation process.
