The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) was founded in 1998 and is offering American and Czech University degrees delivered fully in English from the central European city of Prague. UNYP has a long history and degree partnership with the State University of New York, specifically, The State University of New York, Empire State College (SUNY, ESC). UNYP remains one of the largest English language higher-education institutions in the Czech Republic.

Good At: The University of New York in Prague offers you a unique study experience. The bachelor’s and master’s degree courses are accredited by prominent European and American accrediting bodies. UNYP students who study the American bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication & Media, International Relations, or Psychology have the double degree option. Students meeting the requirements are awarded a two seperate degrees, an American degree from the State University of New York, Empire State College and a European bachelor's degree (bakalář, Bc.) awarded by UNYP. UNYP has small classes (just 15-30 students) so the faculty members not only know all of their students’ names, but make sure that every student gets an appropriate level of attention in the classroom.

UNYP has students with more than 60 nationalities from the EU, North and South America, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. The Alumni network spans more than half the countries in the world! UNYP has 100 professors coming from more than 30 countries (of whom a majority are native English speakers). This multicultural background makes UNYP the most diverse university in the Czech Republic, and offers our students an amazing advantage in preparing for the globalized world where they will be working.
International cooperation: UNYP is proud of its large and diverse student body, as well as its worldwide network of prestigious international partners. We are continually expanding our global community and forming new partnerships with recognized international universities and colleges. This framework of cooperation covers areas such as student exchanges, study abroad agreements, double-degree agreements, faculty exchanges, joint events, and joint research. The University of New York in Prague cooperates in student exchange programs with other universities and colleges across four continents.
