| Další informace: | This programme aims to deliver highly qualified specialists with profound theoretical and practical knowledge in design, planning, assessment, and the implementation of transport structures (e.g. steel and concrete bridges, roads, and railways). Graduates will be able to solve, individually and in teams, scientific and research problems in technical fields of transport structures and related areas, such as engineering, structural mechanics, material engineering, and geotechnics. They will be able to address issues around safety, reliability, and durability of transport structures. The Faculty of Transport Engineering offers students the opportunity of hands-on experience in modern research facilities and equipment reflecting the latest technology. Students will be able to specialise in a particular aspect of transport engineering while having an overview of how the different interrelated fields interact. In addition, there is close cooperation with various Czech and international companies, which ensures that all work is relevant and applicable to solve real-world problems. The city of Pardubice offers safe and affordable cost of living, and easy access to major cities in Europe. As part of their studies, students can also collaborate with international partners in the form of research, publications or visits. PhD students are expected to complete an international internship of at least one month. |
