These include three basic groups of subjects and topics: fundamental subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), medical and biological subjects and general medicine subjects (Anatomy, Histology incl. Cytology, Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathological Anatomy, Pathological Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Hygiene, Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology, Radiology, Physiotherapy, General Surgery, Internal Medicine incl. Paediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Dermatology and Venereology, Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology, First Aid) and subjects and topics directly related to dentistry (Preventive Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Dental Materials and Equipment, Anaesthesia and Sedation in Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Oral Pathology, Practical Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Periodontics and Diseases of the Oral Mucosa, Dental Radiology, Gnathology, Professional Organizations, Ethics and Legislation, Social Aspects of Dentistry). The studies contain four continuous periods of practical training in a general dentist's surgery. The studies are concluded with advanced Master's state examination comprising three segments: (1) Oral Surgery; (2) Restorative Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry and Periodontics incl. Diseases of the Oral Mucosa; and (3) Prosthodontics and Orthodontics. This enables students to undertake part of their studies at European partner universities. Graduates' profile After completion of the Dentistry Master's degree programme, graduates are practically and theoretically prepared for independent work in dentistry, for the commencement of training for certification in dental specialties and/or orthodontics or for activities at faculties of dentistry including postgraduate studies. Employability prospect Graduates are prepared for work in all types of healthcare facilities, in the academic sector and other scientific, research, development and innovation institutions, in specialized laboratories, in theoretical medical disciplines, in the application sector, in the pharmaceutical industry, etc. Regulated occupation Graduates meet the requirements for the regulated dental profession. Possible job positions Dentists, research and development workers, teachers at institutions providing higher education in medicine and natural sciences.
