Additional informations: The doctoral study programme is designated for graduates of master's programmes. Primarily, it concerns the field of informatics, applied informatics, or related programmes. Having taken the state doctoral examination, and successfully defended their doctoral thesis, graduates receive the “doctor” title (Ph.D.). Currently, the faculty offers the study programme Computer Science, which is available as a full-time study or a combined study mode.
The study is aimed primarily at basic (investigative) research - theoretical and experimental - to acquire new knowledge and experience of fundamental nature in all areas of informatics. Typical outputs are publications in books, journals, proceedings and conference presentations as well as software systems aimed at the verification and application of the results of theoretical investigations. Success in the study is evaluated primarily by the quality and quantity of the publication outputs.
