Additional informations: The doctoral study programme is designated for graduates of master's programmes. Primarily, it concerns the field of informatics, applied informatics, or related programmes. Having taken the state doctoral examination, and successfully defended their doctoral thesis, graduates receive the “doctor” title (Ph.D.). Currently, the faculty offers study programme Informatics consisting of two specializations, Computer Systems Technologies or Fundamentals of Computer Science, both available as a full-time study or combined study mode.
Study is aimed primarily on basic (investigative) research - theoretical and experimental - to acquire new knowledge and experience of fundamental nature in all areas of informatics. Typical outputs are publications in books, journals, proceedings and conference presentations as well as software systems aimed for verification and application of the results of theoretical investigations. Success in the study is evaluated mainly by quality and quantity of the publication outputs.

Newcomers' Scholarships ( BA/MA studies)
Designation: Masaryk University offers financial support of 100,000 CZK (circa 4,100 EUR) to students enrolled in bachelor's and master's full-time programmes taught in languages other than Czech and coming from countries chosen according to the international marketing strategy of MU.

The Newcomers‘ scholarship fund is designed to help students with outstanding academic performance cover their first year of studies at Masaryk University and help them transition to life in a different country. This scholarship will not cover your entire studies, just the first year.
